The annual Veterans Summit is set for 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, at the North End Zone Facility at Missouri Southern State University.
Hosted by the Small Business Development Center, the event is held to serve veterans and their spouses or business partners who own a business or are interested in starting one.
It is designed to engage business owners in identifying the key issues and opportunities facing small businesses, and to encourage them to network together to develop strategies to enhance growth and success.
The event will feature Rep. Bob Bromley, a veteran and member of the Missouri House of Representatives’ Veterans Committee, and Dennis Larkin, acting district director of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Kansas City district office. Veteran business owners will also be on hand to offer tips, as well as representatives from veteran business service organizations. Snacks will be provided by Simmons Bank.
Admission is free, but pre-registration is recommended. To register online, visit http://bit.ly/veteran2019.
