Seneca arrests include Neosho man for DWI, Joplin woman on Jasper County felony warrants

On 5/21/19 Officer Thiel observed a vehicle traveling North from the four way stop down town. The occupants had been acting very erratically at GW FOODS. Officer Thiel ran the tag to the vehicle and the vehicle came back stolen out of RENO COUNTY KANSAS. The car was stopped on cemetery road. The driver was arrested for tampering (stolen vehicle).

On 5/18/19, Officer Fort observed a vehicle with expired tags at Big Daddy’s convenience. The vehicle quickly sped into Oklahoma. Officer Fort went to the intersection of 43 and 60. The vehicle arrived a short time later traveling east. The vehicle was stopped for numerous lane violations and expired state plates. The driver, who was from Neosho, appeared to be under the influence of Alcohol. The driver ended up blowing a .184 BAC (yes twice the legal limit). The driver was arrested for DWI and transported to Newton County.

On 5/16/19, Officer Housley initiated a traffic stop on Cherokee/Wyandotte for an equipment violation. As Officer Housley approached the vehicle, he could smell Marijuana. A search was conducted. During the search, Officer Housley found a small Ziploc baggie of Marijuana, a small Ziploc baggie of Methamphetamine, and a glass pipe with Methamphetamine residue. The female driver was arrested for: Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and was transported to Newton County Jail. Way to go Officer Housley!

On 5/20/19, Officer Thiel made a traffic stop at G&W on a vehicle whose occupants were suspects in the use of a stolen debit card. During the investigation the female suspect, admitted to the debit card theft and use at several area businesses. The female driver was determined to have a suspended driver’s license. Both subjects were arrested and transported to Newton County Jail. It should be noted that this stolen card was used in Neosho and Miami Oklahoma as well as Seneca. Good Job Officer Thiel.

On 5/20/19, Officer Thiel made a traffic stop for lane violations. The vehicle was stopped at Big Daddy’s and the male driver was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. After an investigation, he was arrested for DWI and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 5/19/19, Officer Thiel made a traffic stop at Gas-N-Snack on a vehicle for multiple lane violations. During the stop, Officer Thiel recognized the female passenger as Alexis Dombroski, Joplin, who had three felony warrants from Jasper County for: Tampering with a Motor Vehicle x2 and Resisting. Dombroski was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail where during booking, drug paraphernalia was found hidden on her.

On 5/14/19, Officer Fort initiated a traffic stop for an equipment violation on Cherokee/Osage. The male driver was arrested for DWS and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 5/13/19, Officer Fort initiated traffic stop for an equipment violation on Cherokee/Wyandotte. The male driver was arrested for DWS and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 5/9/19, Officer Housley initiated a traffic stop for an equipment violation on Frisco/Roark. The driver, Billie Jo Headley, had a FTA Warrant out of Joplin for DWS. Headley was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 5/6/19, Officer Thiel initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in reference to a C&I complaint on Cherokee/Wyandotte. The driver, Rebecka Traynor had a felony warrant out of Jasper County for Forgery.

On 5/4/19, Officer Fort initiated a traffic stop for an equipment violation at Big Daddy’s. The male passenger, Travis Luckinbill had two warrants. One out of Seneca for: FTA Expired Plates and one out of Newton County for: FTA Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Luckinbill was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 5/3/19, Officer Housley along with Officer Murphy initiated a traffic stop for an equipment violation on South HWY 43. The driver was arrested for DWS and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 5/2/19, Officer Housley along with Officer Murphy initiated a traffic stop for moving and equipment violations on Frisco. The driver was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and transported to Newton County Jail.
