...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING
THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of southeast Kansas and Missouri, including the
following areas, in southeast Kansas, Bourbon, Cherokee, and
Crawford. In Missouri, Barton, Benton, Camden, Cedar, Dade,
Dallas, Hickory, Jasper, Miller, Morgan, Newton, Polk, St.
  Clair, and Vernon.

* From 7 PM CDT this evening through Thursday morning

* Thunderstorms are expected to develop across Oklahoma and
eastern Kansas this evening and spread into western Missouri.
Storms will continue to move across southeastern Kansas and
western missouri mainly north of Interstate 44 through
Thursday morning. Rainfall amounts across the watch area
between one and two inches are expected with locally higher
amounts possible. This rainfall will fall on already saturated
soils, with residual flooding on going across much the area
from heavy rains over the past two days.

* Low lying areas and areas near rivers, creeks and streams will
likely become flooded. Urban flooding will likely occur,
especially where storms track over the same areas. This
additional rainfall will exacerbate any ongoing flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
