Seneca Police Department arrests suspicious man at car wash on criminal mischief warrant, collar two drunk drivers

9/13/19, Officer Fort made a traffic stop just North of Cherokee/Grand for multiple moving violations. Officer Fort approached the vehicle and could immediately smell the odor of alcohol. The subject was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail for DWI. Once at the jail, the subject took a breath test and had a BAC of .095. The subject was charged with: DWI, C&I Driving and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

On 9/6/19, Officer Housley was dispatched to Gas N’ Snack North on Hwy 43 for a report of a suspicious person in a large semi-truck/trailer. Officer Housley made a traffic stop at Cherokee/Chippewa for a traffic violation. As the driver exited the vehicle he fell and appeared to be under the influence. The driver failed multiple sobriety test. The driver was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail for: DWI.

On 9/6/19, Officer Fort made a traffic stop at Cherokee/Wyandotte for an equipment violation. The driver was arrested and cited for: DWS, No Insurance, and Improper Registration and was transported to Newton County Jail.

On 9/5/19, Officer Fort was at the Seneca PD when he was approached by a concerned citizen in reference to a suspicious person at Oasis Car Wash. The subject, Roy Baker, had warrants out of Benton County for: Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree, Inadequate Insurance in an Accident, Residential Burglary, and Theft of Property. Baker was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail.
