Author Victoria Price, daughter of actor Vincent Price, to deliver lectures at Joplin Library next week

(From MSSU Lions Athletic News)

The Missouri Southern State University Honors Lecture Series, in collaboration with the Post Art Library, will offer two presentations by Victoria Price on Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 18-19.

Price will give a presentation entitled “Vincent Price: Master of Menace, Lover of Life” at 6 p.m. Monday in the Community Room at Joplin Public Library, 1901 E. 20th St.

Featuring intimate family photos and insights into her father’s career as an actor, art historian, public speaker and philanthropist, she will explore the life and life-affirming philosophy of the man who remains cinema's beloved King of Horror.

She will offer “Three Unexpected Words to Transform Your Life” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, in the Academic Room of the North End Zone Facility at Missouri Southern. She will share a four-step process to transform even the most stubborn issues in people’s lives through the invocation of three words most of us are taught to fear, ignore or deride.

Price travels nationally and internationally as an author, inspirational speaker, life coach/practitioner, designer, artist and art consultant. In addition to a biography of her father, she is the author of the inspirational memoir “The Way of Being Lost: A Road Trip to My Truest Self,” which was published in 2018. Her next book, set for release in April 2020, is “Live As If: Transform Your Life Through Love-Based Practices.”

Both presentations are free and open to the public.
