Lamar Police arrest three in connection with recent thefts, burglaries

As a part of ongoing investigations into recent thefts and burglaries, the Lamar Police Department has made the following arrests. As we continue to investigate these and other crimes, we are seeking information from the public if you have any information, please contact the Lamar Police Department at 417-682-3546.

On 10/28/2021, Michael JD Branham, 27, of Lamar, MO, was arrested and formally charged with 2nd degree burglary through the Barton County Prosecutor's office for a recent residential burglary here in Lamar. He is currently being held in the Cedar County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.









11/02/2021 Charges were submitted to the Barton County Prosecutor for Kaden J. McDowell, 19, of Lamar, MO for 2nd Degree Burglary. A warrant has been issued for his arrest. If you are aware of his location, please contact the Lamar Police Department.

11/02/2021 An ongoing investigation into stolen property resulted in a search warrant being served at a residence on Gulf St. Lamar police officers confiscated items connected to three different alleged thefts from the area. This investigation is ongoing. 


Amanda Wescott, 37, of Lamar, was arrested and charges submitted for Receiving Stolen Property and Possession of a Controlled Substance/Methamphetamine.
