According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Ashton M. Reynolds, 19, Goodman, swerved to avoid a deer and traveled off the right side of the roadway into an embankment.
Reynolds was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Joplin.
