(From the Redings Mill Fire Protection District)Today we sent one of our fire engines off to greener pastures.
This 2000 KME was the second brand new fire engine the fire district had ever purchased. It served as Engine 1 from 2000 to 2010 until being moved to an outlying station in a lesser used capacity.
It was intended to replace this engine with a new one, but due to today’s market, fire truck prices are at an all
-time high, we are forced to buy used. We will share some photos of the new to us engine in the coming weeks.
