(From the Joplin Police Department)On Tuesday, November 15th, at approximately 09:20 am, the Joplin Police Department Emergency Communications Center received report of a a single vehicle rollover crash near Interstate 44 just east of Rangeline Road.
Officers with the Joplin Police Department responded to the scene along with the Joplin Fire Department, METS Ambulance Service, Newton County Ambulance District, and MoDOT Emergency Response.
Officers located a 2003 Chevrolet tow truck upside down in the ditch near the shoulder of the roadway.
The driver, Bradley E. Skaggs, age 18 of Lanagan, Missouri, was the only occupant of the vehicle and was ejected during the crash. He did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Newton County Coroner. Next of kin has been notified.
Members of the Joplin Police Department Major Crash Team responded to the scene and are still continuing their investigation at this time.
