A Rocky Comfort man was cited for driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle accident 5:58 p.m. Thursday on East Carter Road, three miles south of Rocky Comfort.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2008 Ford Ranger driven by Robert L. James, 55, Rocky Comfort, went off the left side of the roadway and struck a fence.
James, who was also cited for careless and imprudent driving and for not wearing a seat belt, was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Joplin.
