Neosho man suffers serious injuries as car goes airborne, overturns

A Neosho man was injured in a one-vehicle accident 4:45 p.m. Sunday on Route HH one mile east of Neosho.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1999 GMC Sierra driven by Steven R. Friend, 46, Neosho, traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a mailbox and a driveway, went airborne and overturned.

Friend was treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
