MoDOT: Various Routes in McDonald, Stone, Taney & Vernon Counties Scheduled
for Pavement Improvements Beginning the Week of May 13
A project to add a high-friction pavement treatment to selected curves on various routes in McDonald, Stone, Taney & Vernon Counties is scheduled to begin May 13, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Crews will begin in Taney County and then move to Stone, Vernon and McDonald Counties. Traffic can expect lane closures during nighttime hours of 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Saturday on most routes. The two exceptions are Missouri Route 265 in Taney County and Missouri Route 59 in McDonald County, which will have lane closures during daytime hours of 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Drivers can expect lane closings and flaggers where crews are working.
Here’s a look at the project locations:
McDonald County
Missouri Route 59 between just north of Route EE and Hillcrest Drive west of Lanagan
Stone County
Missouri Route 13 between Shoreline Lane and Kimberling Manon Lane south of Kimberling City
Missouri Route 13 between Pokeberry Lane and just south of Sunflower Lane south of Kimberling City
Taney County
U.S. Route 65 between south of Industrial Park Drive and south of Buffalo Ridge Bouvard south of Hollister
U.S. Route 160 between west of Silvercreek Road and Thurman east of Merriam Woods
Missouri Route 76 between Knox Avenue and Candlestick Road in Hollister
Missouri Route 76 at Walkington Lane east of Branson
Missouri Route 265 between Missouri Route 76 and south of Compton Ridge Road west of Silver Dollar City
Vernon County
North and southbound I-49 between Highland Avenue and the bridges over the railroad in Nevada
Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
The project is scheduled for completion by October 1, 2024.
The prime contractor is Truesdell Corporation, Camdenton.
The total project cost is $2.2 million.
