Water main breaks cause closures along 15th Street in Joplin

Due to breaks in the main water pipeline, two areas along East 15th Street will be closed to traffic, and drivers should use alternate routes.

A closure is posted just east of the 15th and Main Street intersection to Virginia Avenue. Drivers should use alternate routes in this area. 15th Street from Main Street.

A second closure is at 15th and Illinois Avenue for eastbound traffic. Drivers should detour to 14th Street and Wisconsin Avenue.

Closures will remain in place until Missouri American Water completes the repairs. Drivers are urged to use caution in these areas. The City appreciates your patience.
