Joplin, Afton residents injured in 3-vehicle accident on 66

Two people were injured in a 3-vehicle accident 1:51 p.m. Monday on MO 66 a quarter mile west of Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2015 Cadillac SUV driven by Donald J. Beason, 53, Joplin, failed to yield and was struck by a 2011 Toyota Sienna driven by a 17-year-old Miami, Oklahoma girl. The Beason vehicle hit a stop sign and a 2010 Buick Enclave driven by Christine D. Boyd, 43, Joplin.








A passenger in the Beason vehicle, a 9-year-old girl was treated for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.

A passenger in the 17-year-old girl's vehicle, a 17-year-old Afton girl was treated for minor injuries at Integris Hospital, Miami.
