(From the Parsons Police Department)On August 3, 2024, at approximately 11:00 PM, members of the Parsons Police Department and Labette County Sheriff’s Office successfully apprehended Tyrell Collins Foster, age 28 of Parsons, in connection with multiple felony and misdemeanor charges arising from a domestic violence situation.
The arrest took place at a residence in the 2100 block of Crawford Ave.
The investigation began on June 18, 2024, when the Parsons Police Department received reports regarding three domestic violence incidents that had occurred over the preceding three-month period. These incidents were thoroughly investigated and subsequently forwarded to the Labette County Attorney's Office for review.
Following a detailed review, an arrest warrant was issued for Foster. Upon law enforcement's arrival at the residence, Foster fled to the attic in an attempt to evade capture. Despite this effort, officers and deputies were able to locate and arrest him without further incident. He faces the following charges:
• Felony Charges:
o Aggravated Kidnapping
o Aggravated Battery
o Aggravated Domestic Battery
o Criminal Threat
• Misdemeanor Charges:
o Two counts of Domestic Battery
o Stalking
Lieutenant Kyle Wiford stated, "The Parsons Police Department is committed to ensuring the safety and security of our community. This arrest underscores our dedication to thoroughly investigating and addressing domestic violence incidents. We appreciate the time and efforts of the Labette County Attorney's Office in bringing these charges forward." Lt. Wiford stated of the arrest, “I am thankful that Foster was able to be taken into custody without incident or injury to law enforcement. These types of arrests made in the confines of an attic create a highly dangerous situation for law enforcement. Now Foster will face his alleged crimes in Labette County District Court.”
The Parsons Police Department extends its gratitude to the Labette County Sheriff's Office for their assistance with serving this arrest warrant and to the citizens whose tips played a crucial role in leading to this arrest.
Foster is currently being held with No Bond at the Labette County Jail awaiting his initial court appearance.
