On January 17, 2015 at approximately 7:30 A.M. officers with the Joplin Police Department responded to Wal-Mart, 2623 W. 7th Street in Joplin, for a report of a robbery that had just occurred. During the initial investigation, officers learned that a black male suspect entered the Wal-Mart Money Center at this location and demanded money from the teller. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was harmed during this incident.
The Joplin Police Department is requesting assistance from the public in helping to identify the offender in this case. The suspect is described as:

-Black male, approximately 30 years old, approximately 5-6, approximately 150 pounds, black rim glasses, possibly had a goatee, yellow Mizzou hat, dark colored jacket, blue jeans, black Nike tennis shoes with red shoelaces
