Two Purdy teens were airlifted to area hospitals following a one-vehicle accident 1:35 p.m. today on Highway 76, 3.5 miles east of Longview.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1993 Mitsubishi Mirage driven by Tommas J. McGuire, 18, Purdy, went off the left side of the roadway, overturned, and struck a utility pole.
McGuire was airlifted to Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, with moderate injuries. A passenger, Beatrice McGuire, 17, Purdy, was airlifted to Mercy Hospital, Springfield, also with moderate injuries.
