Joplin men arrested on meth, weapons charges

Jan 11, 2015, Joplin Police Officers patrolling in the area of 23rd and Maiden Lane stopped a gold Kia Rio for suspicion of DWI.

The vehicle was searched as a result of a K-9 alert. Officers located methamphetamine, paraphernalia and a loaded shotgun that had been defaced. The serial number had been filed off and the barrel was cut to a shorter length.

Aaron Roland, 22, 502 S. St. Louis, Joplin, was arrested for Felony Distribution of a Controlled
Substance, Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possessing a Defaced Firearm and Felony Possession of Certain Illegal Weapons. Charges are forwarded to the Newton County Prosecutor’s Office.

Travis Charlton, 33, 5161 Cameo Ln., Joplin, was arrested for Felony Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Certain Illegal Weapons. Charges are forwarded to the Newton County Prosecutor’s  Office
