A half day, intensive hands-on "social media boot camp" for small businesses is being hosted by the Carl Junction Area Chamber of Commerce. The Social Media Boot Camp is scheduled for Wednesday, January 21, from 8:00 am to 12 pm. The workshop will be held at the Carl Junction Community Center, 303 N. Main.
Social media guru and marketing expert Kimberly Beer will guide attendees through steps for successful marketing on today's most popular social media platforms. Attendees will receive hands-on instruction on how to setup or update profiles and post on Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin and Instagram.
Attendees are instructed to bring their computer, logo files and their businesses' basic marketing information to the half day workshop. Topics covered during the class include social media basics like what is social media, how to used social media to market your business. Each attendee will leave the class with a customized 90 day plan to take back to their business for immediate implementation.
Due to the intensity of training, class room size has been restricted to twelve attendees,for optimum teacher/student ratio. Workshop is open to any small business at a cost of $125. Carl Junction Chamber members receive a discounted rate of $95.
