Carl Junction Police starting new program to cut down on thefts

We are going to start a new program in Carl Junction. 

Our officers will be checking our neighborhoods for property that could be stolen, we may very well contact you, or we may leave a notice at your residence. 

We will be driving through residential neighborhoods and if you leave your garage door open, you can rest assured we will do our best to contact you and have you secure your residence, there have been several thefts lately where the car is in the garage, but the door is not shut. 

We don't have enough people to go car to car and make sure they are locked, but if we notice something, we will do everything we can do to protect your property. This program will all depend on what officers have time to do between calls.
