Three members of Webb City family injured in collision on I-44

Three Webb City residents were injured in a two-vehicle collision 10:30 p.m. Sunday on westbound I-44, three miles east of Mt. Vernon.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2016 Nissan Altima driven by Benjamin D. Jenkins, 20, Fort Hood, Texas, driving at a high rate of speed, overtook a 2013 Nissan Rogue driven by Richard N. Frisby, 58, Webb City, and struck it in the rear.

Frisby and a passenger, Rhonda J. Frisby, 54, were treated for minor injuries and another passenger, Kylie J. Frisby, 16, for moderate injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
