Joplin native hired as Neosho Parks and Recreation director

The City of Neosho is pleased to introduce our new Parks & Recreation Director. 

 Ms. Sally Pennington began her task on Monday, February 27, 2017 moving from Director of Healthy Living at the Joplin Family YMCA, a position that she filled after serving as Youth Sports and Fitness Director. Prior to that she was a Community Recreation Specialist for the City of Springfield, Missouri. 

 
She received her Bachelors in Sports and Recreation Management from Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma. 

 After graduating from Joplin High School in 2004 she attended Independence Community College in Independence, Kansas and earned an Associates in Business degree. 

 While attending Independence Community College and Bacone College, Sally was a member of the collegiate softball programs. 

Sally was born and raised in Joplin, Missouri where her parents still reside.
