March 27 deadline to apply for East Newton superintendent position

A March 27 deadline has been set for those planning to apply for the East Newton R-6 School District superintendent position.

Interviews will be held toward the end of the month or early next month and the new superintendent will be hired by April 7.

The position became available when Superintendent Todd McCrackin announced he will retire at the end of the year.

The East Newton R-VI Schools is seeking applicants for Superintendent. 

East Newton is located in Southwest Missouri with a K-12 enrollment of 1,322 students. The District operates two PreK-8 campuses and one high school. The approximate size of the District is 206 sq. miles. The District has a staff of 213 employees including seven administrators. Assessed Val - $70,959,917 Total Levy - $3.21 MSIP Accredited 

For the 2017-2018 school year, the District will operate on a 4 day school week calendar. 

Compensation and Contract - Salary range $105,000 to $125,000 Multiple year contract - 2 years 

Educational Specialist and Central Office experience desired.
