Nixa woman injured in one-vehicle accident near Avilla

A Nixa woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident 9:35 p.m. Saturday on Route BB and Kafir Road, three miles northwest of Avilla.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1997 Ford Crown Victoria driven by Alexandra L. Suriano, 51, Nixa, ran off the roadway and struck a utility pole and a fence.

Suriano was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.

    I wonder how many of these one car accidents are due to texting and driving? My guess, 75%.
