On Tuesday, January 23rd, 2018 at 1125 hours, a Jasper officer initiated a traffic stop on I-49 on a tan Chevrolet HHR, in reference to exceeding the posted speed limit.
Contact was made with the driver, Christopher Wolf of Lamar.
The officer observed signs of nervousness and after finding out Wolf had a gun on his person, a search for weapons and other contraband was conducted.
A Ruger .45 caliber pistol was found on his right hip. An unlabeled medicine bottle containing over 20 white oblong shaped pills that were later identified as hydrocodone were found in his possession. Wolf did not have a prescription for the pills. Hydrocodone is a class 2 controlled substance.
Wolf was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
