Seneca woman cited on drug charges following one-vehicle accident on Bethel Road

A Seneca woman faces drug charges following a one-vehicle accident 9:45 p.m. Friday on Bethel Road, two miles north of Seneca.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Hyundai Elantra driven by Ayla L. Hendrix, 27, Seneca, traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a ditch and a fence and overturned.

Hendrix, who was treated for moderate injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, careless and imprudent driving and for not wearing a seat belt.
