Arson Investigation
On Monday, October 8th, 2018 at 0527 hours, a report of a house on fire in the 300 block of south Main St. was called in.
The following agencies assisted in the investigation along side the Jasper Police Department:
Jasper County Sheriff’s Office
Missouri State Fire Marshall’s Office
The fire was ruled arson by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
Through investigation, probable cause of arson was established on a suspect, Mason McClure, Jasper.

On Tuesday, October 9th, 2018, Jasper Police Department arrested McClure for Arson 1st degree and possession of meth related drug paraphernalia. Charges were sent to the Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
Big thanks to Jasper Fire District Chief JR Good and his firefighters for their quick response and putting out the fire.
Note: McClure is presumed innocent until found guilty in the court of law.
