Joplin Police arrests Dollar General burglary suspect while he breaks into another home and sits on couch

On Sunday morning at 3:47 a.m. officers responded to a business alarm at 807 W 7th, Dollar General.

As they arrived, they found the front door had been broke open. At the same time, dispatch put out a call for a burglary in progress at a residence half a block away. The residents had called and reported a male broke into their back door and was sitting on their couch. 

Officers responded from the alarm to that residence and arrested the male. Surveillance video from Dollar General showed he was the suspect in that case as well. He was charged with both burglaries.
