(From MODOT)

Golden City – Area residents are invited to learn more about a project to improve sidewalks along Missouri Route 37 in Golden City at a public meeting on Thursday, Oct. 18, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

The meeting is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at City Hall in Golden City, 511 Main Street. The meeting will be come-and-go style with NO formal presentation.

MoDOT representatives will be on hand to answer questions about the project’s timeline and traffic impacts.

Those unable to attend the public meeting but wishing to comment on the project may submit their comments to swcr@modot.mo.gov.

The project will upgrade sidewalks to conform to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. Specifically, the work will include replacing sidewalk and installing curb ramps in areas along Route 37 between Jefferson Street and Gallagher Road.

The total estimated project cost is $186,000, with the project completed by the winter of 2019/2020.
