Neighbor's call leads Joplin Police to discovery of 14-year-old, 15-year-old in stolen car

Last night at 9:13 p.m. an observant neighbor in the 2400 block of North Minnesota called in and reported a suspicious vehicle on the street with two males in it.They were concerned the two were looking to steal or break into a house.

The license plate the caller gave checked to a vehicle stolen earlier in the day in Joplin during a burglary of a house. 

Officers arrived and found a 14-year-old juvenile sitting in the vehicle and a 15-year-old juvenile walking back to the vehicle with the key to it in his pocket. Both juveniles were detained and taken to juvenile detention. The vehicle was confirmed to be stolen.
