Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 1:38 p.m. today on Route HH, one mile east of Carterville.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Toyota Matrix driven by Damon S. Teel, 19, Carthage, struck a 2015 Nissan Sentra driven by Danny J. Wright, 79, Lake Winnebago, which was stopped in traffic to make a left turn.
A passenger in the Wright vehicle, Thomas C. Trimble, 79, Blue Springs, was treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
Wright and another passenger, Gwendolyn J. Wright, 75, Lake Winnebago, sought their own treatment for minor injuries.
