Sarcoxie Police arrest Carthage woman for DWI

(From the Sarcoxie Police Department)

On 2/8/2019 while on routine patrol one of our newest officers, Officer Bryant observed a silver Mazda that had a tag light out.

She proceeded to pull over the vehicle and make contact with the driver, Toni Renee Simmons Crum out of Carthage, MO.

It was found that MS. Simmons Crum was revoked in the state of Missouri. Officer Bryant and Chief Corum both recognized the smell of intoxicants coming from the subject.

After being read her Miranda Rights, Officer Bryant discovered that Ms. Simmons Crum had been drinking earlier in the day.

After arriving at the county jail field sobriety tests were performed and a breath test was administered. It was determined that the subject was under the influence of intoxicants.

Ms. Simmons Crum was then booked into the Jasper County Jail for Driving While Revoked and Driving While Intoxicated.

Ms. Simmons Crum is innocent until proven guilty by the courts.
