The Crowder Construction Technology program completed two cabins that will be sold to the highest bidder at a live auction May 7, at 1pm on the Crowder campus in Neosho. Viewing of the cabins will be available starting May between the hours of 8am and 3pm or for an appointment call 417.455.5596.
The cabins will be sold during a live auction at 1pm, Tuesday, May 7 at the Crowder Technical Education Center. Bob Lasswell and Associates will perform the live auction service.
Cabins are 12’x24’ amenities including a full kitchenette, bath with shower, and washer/dryer hook-up. Both sleep four people; one has an upper sleeping loft of 100 sf with lower king-size daybed. The other cabin has two sleeping lofts of 100 sf leaving a large living are on the lower level. Exteriors are different with one having a rustic rough cut siding and pine car interior. The other one has vinyl siding with gray painted sheetrock interior. Bot cabins are built on 6x6 skids for full mobility.
The Construction Technology program consists of framing, roofing, plumbing, electrical and finish work. Students in this program built the cabin while experiencing these trades. The class is taught by Andy McClain. This program is part of the Crowder Technical Education Center which is comprised of high school students from Neosho, McDonald County, Seneca, East Newton, and Diamond.
