Armed and dangerous suspect identified, charges filed, remains at large

The suspect in the home invasion has been identified as Jason Arthur Duncan.

The Newton County Prosecutor's office has charged him with Robbery 1st Degree, Armed Criminal Action, Assault 1st Degree and Burglary 2nd Degree.

Duncan is a 34-year-old, white male. He is 5’ 7” and has tattoos on both arms.

The Newton County Sheriff’s Office continues to search for him and investigators are following up on all leads.

Deputies, Detectives and Troopers are currently searching south of Granby in the area of Mulberry & Highway H for an armed suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male, thin build, short blonde hair, wearing a gray t-shirt with black lettering and faded blue jeans.

He has tattoos on both arms. The suspect crashed his vehicle and is now on foot.

It is believed he is armed and dangerous. Do not approach or attempt to apprehend. Call 9-1-1 immediately and provide a location and direction of travel.
