Extra security provided for East Newton schools as search for armed, dangerous suspect continues

(From the Granby Police Department)

The Granby Police Department and the Newton County Sheriff's Office will be providing extra security around our schools this morning to help ease parents concerns.

At this time, we have no cause for concern, but wanted to assure parents their students are being taken care of.

(From the Newton County Sheriff's Office)

The search continues. We will post any updates we receive.

In the event the suspect is taken into custody, we will post a press release.

We are asking anyone with information to call our dispatch center at 417-451-8333.
