Four people injured in car/tractor-trailer crash on I-44 near Duenweg

Four people were injured in a two-vehicle crash 10:28 p.m. Saturday on I-44, three miles east of Duenweg.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2005 Chrylster PT cruiser driven by Tiffany N. Coleman, 40, St. Louis, ran off the roadway, overcorrected, returned to the highway and was struck by a 2018 Freightliner tractor-trailer driven by Abdinasir H. Jama, 28, Columbus, Ohio.







Both vehicles left the roadway and struck the median cables causing the tractor-trailer to overturn.

Coleman and three passengers in her vehicle, Malcom J. Coleman, 8, and Lemar M. Galvin, 15, both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Joyce R. Townsend, 43, St. Louis, were treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
