We have received numerous reports regarding a phone scam that is targeting Carthage residents.
The criminal is using a phone number appearing as if it is the Police Department.
The Carthage Police Department will not call you regarding taxes owed to the federal government or about your social security number. We encourage you to end these scamming calls immediately and do not give out personal information.
