A Joplin man was cited for felony driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle fatality crash 5:17 p.m. Tuesday on Reinmiller Road, three miles south of Joplin.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2015 Hyundai Genesis driven by Troy D. Key, 33, Joplin, traveled off the right side of the roadway, started skidding, then traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned.
A passenger, Jose D. Gonzalez, 30, Joplin, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Key, who was also cited for careless and imprudent driving involving a crash, was treated for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
The fatality was the 76th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
