84-year-old man drowns in Lamar City Lake

(The original Highway Patrol report on this drowning described a "juvenile' victim with the age at 0. The report has been corrected and so has this post.)

An 84-year-old man was recovered floating on Lamar City Lake approximately eight feet from the south shoreline 6:22 p.m. Saturday, according to the Highway Patrol report.

Law enforcement personnel administered CPR on Jimmy G. Sealey, 84, Lamar, until EMS arrived. Sealey was taken to Cox Barton County Hospital, Lamar, where he was pronounced dead at 7:16 p.m.

Details on how Sealey ended up in the lake were not included in the report.

The drowning was the seventh this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
