(From the Joplin Fire Department)On Friday, 11 December 2020, at 12:02 AM, the Joplin Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at 111 S Moffet Ave.
The first crew arrived at 12:06 AM to find a three-story wood frame building with heavy fire and smoke showing from the second and third floors.
Crews called for a second alarm and attacked the fire, extinguished it, and then checked for any fire extension. Crews remained on scene until 5:16 AM.
The Joplin Fire Department responded with 6 units and 18 personnel. The Fire Department was assisted by METS Ambulance Service and the Joplin Police Department. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighting personnel.
The cause of the fire was investigated by the State Fire Marshall, who ruled it undetermined.
