(From Southern News Service) Recent performances out of the Missouri Southern State University music department will be showcased on KGCS-TV beginning this week.
Starting tomorrow – Wednesday, Dec. 9 - Caribbean Rhapsody in Brass and Steel will air at 7 p.m. It will also air at 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 10. The concert was originally performed on Nov. 23 in Corley Auditorium, and wrapped up the university’s Caribbean-themed semester.
It can be viewed at any time on the university’s YouTube channel (KGCS Missouri Southern) at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F06Tbn9VlwU.
The choral department’s annual Seasonal Choral Flourish, which is also posted on YouTube, will hit the KGCS airwaves during the week of Dec. 13. Air dates are as follows:
Monday, Dec. 14 – 7:00 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 15 – 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 16 – 7:00 p.m.
Both concerts will air on KGCS throughout the holiday season.
KGCS programing can be seen on channel 21, and is also available on regional cable television systems such as Sparklight, Mediacom and Suddenlink Communications. The station operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.
