The preservation work being done to the historic Schifferdecker House in Joplin, and others, is the focus of the next edition of “Newsmakers” on KGCS-TV.

He also provides a preview of some of the anniversary celebrations planned in the upcoming years for the State of Missouri, the City of Joplin, Route 66, as well as the United States.

The show will begin airing nightly at 5:30 p.m. the week of Dec. 13, and Saturday, Dec. 19 at 5:30 a.m. on KOAM-TV. It’s also posted on the station’s YouTube channel (KGCS Missouri Southern) at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7_LakDgoKY.

KGCS programing can be seen on channel 21, and is also available on regional cable television systems such as Sparklight, Mediacom and Suddenlink Communications. The station operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.
