Seneca man seriously injured crashing into tree, cited for DWI


A Seneca man was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle crash 8 p.m. Thursday on Route K, approximately two miles west of Racine.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2011 Kia Sorento driven by Cory A. Rantz, 32, Seneca, traveled off the right side of the roadway, overturned and struck a tree.

Rantz, who was treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, was also cited for careless and imprudent driving, no insurance and no seat belt.
