(From the Sarcoxie Police Department)On 11-10-2021, Cpl. Scheppert was notified that a white male was sitting on the sidewalk in front of the License Office.
Cpl. Scheppert made contact with Bryan Jones of Sarcoxie, MO. Jones asked to go into the PD to talk. Jones stated he wanted to confess to a sexual assault he committed on his cousin years ago. Jones would not divulge the cousin's name. Jones also admitted to having methamphetamine in his pocket.
Cpl. Scheppert asked for Jones to remove the methamphetamine from his pocket. Jones complied and placed it on the evidence table.
2.4 grams of methamphetamine was on Jones's person.
Jones was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Jones is innocent until proven guilty.
