Three people were injured in a three-vehicle accident 3:28 p.m. today on MO 43 a quarter mile south of Joplin.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Vance C. Casey, 48, Quapaw, Oklahoma, and a 2014 Honda CRV driven by Alexi R. Hailey, 24, Joplin, were stopped at a red light when 2008 Toyota Prius driven by Tanya A. Smith, 49, Joplin, struck the rear of the Casey vehicle causing it to hit the rear of the Hailey vehicle.
Hailey and Smith were treated for minor and moderate injuries, respectively, at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
Casey was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Joplin.
