(From Joplin Police Department)Please join us in congratulating and recognizing Officer Katherine Ivie, as today marks her official retirement from the Joplin Police Department.
Officer Ivie was hired by Joplin PD in June of 2016 and attended the MSSU Law Enforcement Academy in the fall of 2016.
Following graduation Officer Ivie worked in the Uniform Operations Bureau as a Police Officer. She also later served as a Field Training Officer for the department.
Following an on-duty injury, Officer Ivie has most recently assisted with light duty tasks in our Professional Standards Bureau until the approval of her medical retirement.
Officer Ivie has been a tremendous asset to the Joplin Police Department and our community. We wish her the very best as she closes our this chapter of her life and begins to write a new one. Thank you Officer Ivie, best of luck, and Godspeed.
