Contract awarded for Carthage license fee office

The Office of Administration, in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Revenue, has awarded the management contract for the Carthage License Office to License Office Services, LLC in Jefferson City. All license office contracts in Missouri are awarded through a competitive bid process.

The Carthage License Office will remain at its current location at 407 S. Garrison.

In fiscal year 2013, nearly 66,000 transactions were conducted at the Carthage office, generating approximately $219,000 in agent processing fees. License Office Service's contract includes an annual commitment to return 1 percent (approximately $2,192) of future processing fees to the state.

All local license offices are overseen by the Missouri Department of Revenue, but each is operated by an independent agent.
