A Tulsa woman received minor injuries in an accident 6:30 p.m. Sunday on I-44, two miles east of Joplin.
According to the Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when Janet Guzman, 19, Tulsa, drove a 2008 Nissan off the right side of the road and struck a dirt embankment, injuring her passenger, Virginia Albizo, 53, Tulsa.
Ms. Albizo was treated at Freeman West, Joplin.
