Joplin man cited for four violations after one-car accident

A Joplin man was charged with four violations following a one-car accident 4:55 p.m. Wednesday in Crawford County at Lick Creek just west of Leasburg.

According to the Highway Patrol report, Thomas J. Bruner, 20, was driving a 2007 Ford Mustang too fast for road conditions and while rounding a curve went off the left side of the road and struck a tree.

Bruner suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan.

Bruner was charged with driving while suspended, careless and imprudent driving, failure to wear a seatbelt, and a Crawford County warrant for failure to wear a seatbelt.
