Woman arrested for DWI, assault after three children injured in one-car accident

A Pineville woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated following an accident 7:10 p.m. Thursday on Route E, one mile from Simsberry.

According to the Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when a 1997 Ford Explorer driven by Laci D. Daniels, 29, Pineville, ran off the roadway and struck a tree.

Ms. Daniels received minor injuries, as did two passengers Kristopher Neil, 2, and Raiden Neil, infant. A third passenger, Haven Johnson, 5, received moderate injuries.

All four were taken to Mercy Hospital, Rogers, Arkansas, for treatment.

In addition to felony DWI, Ms. Daniels was charged with three felony counts of second degree assault, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, careless and imprudent driving, and no valid driver's license.
